What is a Sales Funnel and Why Do You Need One?

Nowadays, every business has a website.  However, not everyone has a sales funnel (that they are aware of). Russell Brunson explains the difference between a website and a funnel with a strong emphasis on upsells.  At first, it felt like the only difference between a funnel and a website is that you can have an upsell with a funnel (which is not true).

Towards the end of the video, he did say that there are different types of funnels and the importance of building a funnel is making sure you know the strategy behind it.  

The first thing I noticed about this gifographic is that it’s fun to look at.  There is literally a funnel throughout the whole thing. This is very appealing to the eye.  

As for the information, it’s complete but not overbearing. This breaks down the strategy behind building a funnel.  Too many times, people purchase a tool or hire someone to build it, without having a solid strategy in place.  

Shane starts the funnel with an emphasis on research & buyer personas.  These are the two most critical steps in creating any sales funnel.
