Ask a driver which is better: a manual transmission or an automatic?
Doesn’t matter who you ask, they’re bound to have a strong opinion on it.
Manual drivers tend to love the connection they feel with their car and the experience of driving. Learning to drive a manual is more tricky on the front end, but ultimately gives drivers more control over their car. There’s a reason race cars only have manual transmissions.
But automatic drivers have their points too. Automatic transmissions tend to get slightly better gas mileage, and they’re dead simple to learn in the beginning. You don’t have to worry about shifting gears while also trying to pay attention to where you’re going and what all the other cars around you are doing. And let’s not forget the blessing of cruise control on a 14 hour road trip.
The debate over which is better has lasted since automatics were built, and the truth is: it really depends on what your needs and your goals are.
If you want to go fast, and take quick turns, a manual is going to be your best friend.
If you want ease and comfort, an automatic is the car for you.
The same applies when you’re comparing 1 on 1 marketing and funnel marketing.
Some coaches really enjoy the intimacy of one on one marketing. They love developing deep relationships with their customers over time, and reaching out individually allows them to personalize their marketing to each person’s personality, wants, and needs.
Other coaches prefer the ease of funnel marketing. Like cruise control, they like to “set it and forget it”, and know that they can turn the flow of validated leads up or down according to their preference.
